Process overview: The feed pellet line mainly includes raw material receiving and cleaning system, crushing system, batching and mixing system, pelletizing system, finished product packaging system, and palletizing.

Main process sections

  • Raw materials: ruminant feed can include grain-based raw materials such as corn, wheat, barley and soybean meal, together with coarse fiber raw materials such as grass, hay and straw.
  • Grass crushing section: grass raw materials are reduced by a dedicated crusher section for fibrous materials before entering the next process.
  • Grain crushing and mixing section: grain materials can be crushed and mixed with other ingredients to prepare a balanced pellet formula.
  • Pelletizing section: the ring die pellet mill is equipped with quality ring dies and rollers to support different pellet capacities and sizes.
  • Cooling and screening section: hot pellets are cooled and screened for better finished pellet quality and handling.
  • Packing section: finished pellets can be weighed and packed for storage, sale and transportation.

Practical design advantages

  • Because ruminant feed requires coarse crushing fineness, the crushing section can adopt two crushers with separate crushing bins.
  • A magnetic separation device can remove impurities before raw materials enter the crusher to help protect the system.
  • The line is designed to be compact and practical while meeting routine production requirements.
  • If different pellet sizes are needed, different ring dies can be used for different pellet diameters.

Application scenarios

Cattle feed pellets placeholder

Cattle Feed

Suitable for producing larger livestock pellets for cattle and cows using hay, grass and grain formulations.

Sheep feed pellets placeholder

Sheep Feed

Applicable for sheep feed pellet production, commonly using coarse fiber materials with grain-based ingredients.

Rabbit feed pellets placeholder

Rabbit Feed

Can produce rabbit feed pellets, generally within a smaller pellet diameter range suitable for livestock feeding.

Grass and hay pellets placeholder

Grass & Hay Pellets

Suitable for alfalfa, grass, hay and straw pellet processing for ruminant and general livestock feed use.

Pellet size and livestock use

  • The machine can make pellets for cows, cattle, sheep and other livestock.
  • Typical rabbit feed pellets can be around 2–5 mm.
  • Typical cattle or sheep feed pellets can be around 4–8 mm.
  • The final pellet length can be adjusted according to requirements.

Features

This grass and hay pellet plant is designed with practical feed machinery matching, reliable components and customizable conditioning options for livestock feed pellet production.

NSK / SKF Bearings

Host bearings generally use well-known NSK and SKF bearings for reliable operation and longer service life.

Siemens Motor

The electric motor configuration is presented as Siemens for stable daily running.

304 Stainless Steel Feeding Parts

Feeder spindle, screw, sleeve and paddle are described as 304 stainless steel for longer service life.

Full 304 Stainless Steel Conditioner

The full 304 stainless steel conditioner helps support high-quality pellet feed production.

Why choose this grass feed pellet plant

  • Host bearings use NSK or SKF for reliable quality and long service life.
  • Electric motor is specified as Siemens.
  • Feeder spindle, screw, sleeve and paddle use 304 stainless steel.
  • The bearing in key matched parts is highlighted as SKF brand.
  • Double or three-layer conditioners can be customized for clients.
Build advantage: The promoted build emphasizes thicker main equipment material, heavier machine weight, higher output potential and improved return-feed performance compared with ordinary feed machinery.

Equipment build advantages

  • Material thickness of main equipment is more than common feed machinery standard by about 2 mm.
  • The machine weight is described as about 20% heavier than ordinary feed machinery.
  • Output is promoted as about 20% higher in the referenced build concept.
  • The feed rate of return is described as increasing by around 3–5%.

Parameters
